NAWBO Chicago’s Celebration of Achievement Conference: “Powered to Thrive”

April 27

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Chicago Chapter is thrilled to announce its signature event will mark a major milestone later this month with the 40th Annual Celebration of Achievement! We invite female entrepreneurs to join us on April 27 at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook as we honor and empower local entrepreneurs at Chicagoland’s premier annual women’s business leadership conference.

This year’s theme of “Powered To Thrive” focuses on advancing women entrepreneurs by lifting them up during challenging and uncertain times. The event will attract 400+ in-person attendees to participate in educational workshops, award ceremony, keynote and the diverse exhibit hall.

This full day of learning and inspiration will feature dynamic keynote speaker, Precious L. Williams. Her keynote address, “The Great Reset: Changing the Game,” will confront everything that has turned life upside down in the past few years. “For a lot of women, it’s been way too much all at once. But if we were really honest, this shift in our lives has revealed that without a shakeup or change, there is no growth to be had. As we move through everything, we get stronger, decide what no longer has priority and focus on the things that actually matter,” Williams said.

Breakout session topics will provide essential information for business owners to excel post-pandemic, including accessing capital for your business, best practices around recruiting, trademark and brand architecture, a dynamic award winner panel and much more.

NAWBO Chicago is so grateful that Samantha Chatman, ABC 7 Chicago’s Weekend Morning Anchor and I-Team Consumer Investigative Reporter, will be returning to emcee the event.

In addition to powerful speakers who will help today’s business owners stop striving and start thriving, our 40th annual signature event will bring female entrepreneurs together to converse, connect and collaborate, said Chapter President Edie Fienemann, Broker with the Fienemann Group of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Executive Group. “The welcoming collective of NAWBO Chicago allows women business owners to support each other in a powerful way because we understand one another on a deeper level,” Fienemann added.

And if all of this is not enough, the day-long event concludes with one of the chapter’s favorite traditions – the chocolate reception, sponsored by Old National Bank, where women business owners come together and experience “Powered To Thrive” firsthand.
