About the Presenters:
Alexandre Massumoto is a Marketing Specialist with Synergy Flavors Inc. In this role, Alex looks after internal initiatives designed to identify and interpret consumer trends and shifts in Food, Beverage and Nutrition industries. He started his career at Synergy Flavors in 2017, when he joined the company’s Graduate Develop Program at Synergy’s facility in Brazil. After moving to the United States in 2019 to join Synergy Flavors US, Alex has been the marketing lead in several nutrition programs such as the Flavors of the Future research, that highlights new and emerging flavors for the sports nutrition market, created to help product manufacturers to stay ahead of the game in the ever-evolving sports nutrition market.
Will McCormack, PhD is a Senior Business Development Manager with Synergy Flavors. Will joined Carbery Group in 2011 as an R&D Innovation Scientist before returning to the University of Limerick to work with the Enterprise Ireland funded, Food for Health Ireland Technology Centre that aims to improve global health through innovation in functional food to complete his PhD. At Carbery, Will focused on developing added value whey protein ingredients for the Sports Nutrition and Healthy Ageing markets. In 2016 Dr. McCormack moved to the United States and joined Synergy Flavors (a division of Carbery Group) as Business Development Manager for their Nutrition category and has overseen significant growth in that market over the last six years.
