Aboutre:work training’s purpose is to reshape hiring trends for underserved minority communities in Chicago’s South and West sides by providing workforce training in the field of business development. Our alumni enter full-time roles in less than 90 days making, on average, $44,000 annually. We recruit from underserved populations in the city, which creates the following profile of our candidates: 62% male, 38% female; 80% Black, 11% Latinx, 9% other; average age is 26; average incoming salary is $14,000; 45% join our program with some university-level coursework; 30% with some community college courses; 10% with a Bachelor’s Degree; 6% with a High School diploma.
