Austin Coming Together

Austin Coming Together (ACT) provides backbone support for a 50+ network of non-profit, faith-based, public, and private entities with the shared mission of increasing collective impact to improve the quality of life in Chicago’s Austin community.

About

Simply put, ACT helps families in Chicago’s Austin community while also supporting the social services they rely on. Austin Coming Together (ACT) was formed in order to better coordinate efforts by various local stakeholders to improve quality of life.

ACT pursues opportunities that allow relationships with community leaders to deepen and to take collaborative action towards equity for all Austin residents.

ACT’s Austin Community Hub ensures individuals are connected to resources by engaging with them at neighborhood events and hosting virtual information sessions called Hub 101’s. Plus, ACT supports initiatives like Austin’s community-led quality-of-life plan called Austin Forward Together (AFT) to impact issues like public safety, youth empowerment, education, and more.

Alongside a member network of 50+ organizations and countless partners, ACT has been connecting residents to services, attracting investments for the community, and building capacity for policy change since 2010.
