As part of the City of Chicago’s LaSalle Street Reimagined initiative to transition the corridor into a vibrant, mixed-use environment, the Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) will be available this fall to help entrepreneurs create cafes, restaurants, retail, and other neighborhood-oriented amenities for the Loop’s growing population.

Property owners and tenants of commercial properties are eligible to apply for up to $250,000 in reimbursement grants, with a $50,000 bonus of additional grant funding available for businesses expanding from low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.
